What have others been asking?

As a Christian: About abuse and why bad things happen. We all know that God is in control. And that we should accept the good and the bad according to what He allows in our lives (like Job). But isn't the constant worrying and obsessing about why atrocities happen in the world and to us not indicative that we have lost sight of the reason we were created? That God is not the centre of our lives then (since we focus excessively on why something bad happened to us?) And therefore a lack of trust in His promises to us in the Bible?

Lots of people in the world are merciful or are peacemakers by doing good deeds yet aren't Christians, so how are these people blessed? Isn't only Christians or people who will become Christians the only people who are blessed?

When Jesus says to take the plank out of your own eye before we can clearly take the speck out of your brothers eye; are we in a position to take the speck out of our brothers eye if we take the plank out of our own eye or is it impossible to take the plank out of our own eye as we are corrupted with sin and therefore a hypocrite?

In terms of walking through the narrow gate and living right, how do we know if we're on the right track? Especially in times of what seems like 'fruitlessness' and desert-like wandering?

What is the anointingand what it isnt- how does it tie in with the gifts - How is the word misused today

Dave, At what point do you believe that deep concern become worry?

Jesus speaks a lot about the attitude behind our actions and the problems with committing good deeds, simply to look like a good person. How does that apply within the context of the church?

Jesus speaks a lot about heaven in this passage, but we apply it to our lives now. How does that work?
