Sunday

9am: So we know Jesus Christ did miracles, and that these were designed more than anything to instil faith in people. We also know they are not common, and that God teaches us about his power and grace in weakness. Last Sunday Clinton so powerfully reminded us that trials happen so we might rely on God, and not on ourselves. This Sunday morning we'll be drawing all this to a close with the glorious vision of our ultimate hope, and the ultimate question that hope poses to all of us. You can read ahead by looking up Rev 21-22.

5pm: We often fall into the trap of thinking that God is at work when we feel good. "If I'm pumped up and on fire for God he must be working overtime!" And when we feel down and depressed God must be taking a break.
However, we can see in the Psalms that God is always at work, when he feels present and when he feels absent. We don't praise God just when we're excited and on an emotional high. We praise God all the time, when we feel good and bad, when we're jumping for joy and when we're weeping from grief. We praise him when we're singing to him and when we're complaining to him.
God should always be the first port of call in our lives. Read Psalm 13.

New Elders Required:

Redlands CRC is calling for nominations for two new elders. Please pass your signed nominations to Dave, Clinton or Keith, or email them to dave@redlandscrc.org.au The flyer "Elders Terms & Tasks" outlines the task of elder and criteria for nomination. They are available at the information booth.

Red Frogs & Hotel Chaplaincy

Redlands CRC fully supports the work of Hotel Chaplaincy during the schoolies weeks. One of the ways we can do this is to donate huge amounts of Red Frogs. We need literally truckloads of them!

- See how many boxes your small group can sponsor!

- Make it a family project

- Take orders at work - how many boxes can you sell?

- Lash out yourself!

We are taking bulk orders, with all payment to be received by Melody Groenenboom (mgroenen@gmail.com 0431 144 126) when you place your order. Costs:

Bag (1kg) - $5.00

Box (8kg) - $40.00

Make no mistake friends, this is frontline ministry and lives are changed every year!

Extra Parking on Sunday

The operators of Jumping Beans Child Care Centre (across Delancey St) have kindly offered us the use of their parking lot on Sunday (only). So if you don't mind walking across the road, feel free to use it. Also, don't forget the extra parking on the other side of the church building! Isn't it great the way God has heard our prayers?

Prayer

- Our love goes to the family of Myriel Gardner, who died from cancer last week.  Myriel was married to Allan, and was Heather Daniels sister in law. Myriel was also Jodie McCormack's (one of the carers at Mops) mother

- We continue to remember Clinton, Tracy and their family. Clinton has started to first of his special injections these last few days. Keep praying for grace, endurance, and healing

- Please remember the Year 12 students, who in these next few weeks will sit their OP exams.

- Rod McWilliams arrived safely home from the UK study tour. Pray for recovery after the trip, and that Rod will be able to assist us more effectively as we pursue our mission together

Why Community?

Because God says we're better together!

We all crave a sense of belonging

We all want a church that is open and accepting of others

We all want to reflect the love of Jesus to our local community

So where do we start?

  • speak with someone you don't know
  • invite someone home
  • invite someone new to your small group
  • pray for someone

Lets start making ripples together!
